Soap & Glory - A Great Kisser in Sweet Coconut

I was wondering...will I ever find anything from Soap & Glory that I don't like?! Probably not. I'm completely in love with their products. Every single one. A couple of weeks ago I was reading the lovely Sara Walker's beauty blog and I saw that Soap & Glory was about to launch "A Great Kisser" new lip balm range. What an amazing surprise! 

Mi stavo chiedendo...troverò mai un prodotto di Soap & Glory che non mi piace?! Probabilmente no. Adoro profondamente i loro articoli. Senza nessuna esclusione. Un paio di settimane fa stavo leggendo il blog beauty di Sara Walker e ho visto che Soap & Glory stava per lanciare la nuova gamma di balsami labbra "A Great Kisser". Che meravigliosa sorpresa!

 

This wonderful tin box comes in three different flavours all delicious and yummy. They are Chocolate Cherry, Juicy Peach and Sweet Coconut. The first two lip balms are slightly tinted and give your lips a subtle hint of colour whilst moisturizing them. The last one has no colour but a delicate pink shimmer in it.

Questa meravigliosa scatoletta metallica può contenere tre diversi sapori, tutti deliziosi e golosi. Nello specifico sono Chocolate Cherry, Juicy Peach e Sweet Coconut. I primi due sono leggermente colorati e lasciano sulle labbra una leggera sfumatura mentre le idratano profondamente. L'ultimo non ha colore, ma contiene dei minuscoli brillantini rosa.

I love them all, but I decided to go for the Sweet Coconut one. It smells and tastes divine. It is sweet and so good. The texture is soft and rich. It deeply moisturize your lips and prevents the damages caused by cold or wind.

Mi piacciono tutti, ma ho deciso di provare Sweet Coconut. Ha un profumo ed un sapore meravigliosi. E' dolce e buonissimo. La consistenza è soffice e ricca. Idrata profondamente le labbra e previene i danni causati dal freddo o dal vento.

Soap & Glory says that the lip balm contains "mango butter to moisturise, apricot butter for weather protection, lingonberry oil to boost the barrier repair (and prevent water loss) and pomegranate extract to renew your 'dewy'" and I believe them as the formulation is very good.

Soap & Glory dice che il loro balsamo labbra contiene "polpa di mango per idratare, polpa di albicocca per proteggersi dal tempo, olio di mirtillo rosso per potenziare le barriere (e prevenire la perdita d'acqua) ed estratto di melograno per rinfrescare" e devo dire che credo sia tutto vero perchè la formulazione è davvero ottima.

Soap&Glory "Flake Away" body polish

At the moment I haven’t still find a Soap e glory product that I dislike or let me down.

I was looking for a good body scrub and finally I found this. I tried many scrubs and they were or too grainy or not enough. IFlake away is a rich cream containing shea butter, sweet almond oil, peach seed powder, sea salt and sugar.

The smell is amazing: sweet and fruity. So yummy.

I use it once a week, and despite my sensitive skin, I do not find any irritation after using the scrub. I even tried using it to make a mini-pedi on my feet. It does its job perfectly.

It is super moisturizing, and if you have not a very dry skin, you could skip the cream application afterward.

I got the 50 ml one, which is perfect if you want to give it a try.

Per il momento non ho trovato alcun prodotto soap and glory di cui non sia stata soddisfatta.

Ero alla ricerca di un buon body polish e finalmente l’ho trovato! Quelli precedenti o erano troppo o per nulla granulosi

Il profumo è strepitoso come tutti i prodotti Soap&Glory:dolce e fruttato.

Lo utilizzo una volta a settimana e, nonostante abbia la pelle sensibile, non ho avuto alcun rossore. L’ho provato anche come mini srub sulla pianta dei piedi ed è perfetto anche in questo caso.

E’ super idratante e, per chi non avesse la pelle secca potrebbe anche non applicare la crema dopo la doccia.

Soap & Glory - Kick Ass Concealer

I think that Soap and Glory could be my personal best discover of 2011. For sure all the products I've tried are amazingly good. We already swatched and reviewed Smoulder Kohl eyeliner, Lid Stuff in Smokey Dokey eyeshadow quad and Hand Food incredible hand cream. Now it's time to write something about the Kick Ass concealer, but meanwhile we are going on testing other items and they are simply so good.

Penso che Soap and Glory sia la mia miglior scoperta personale del 2011. Sicuramente tutti i prodotti che ho provato sono incredibilmente buoni. Abbiamo già pubblicato swatch e review della matita per occhi Smoulder Kohl, della palette di ombretti Lid Stuff in Smokey Dokey and dell'incredibile crema mani Hand Food. Adesso è ora di scrivere qualcosa a proposito del correttore Kick Ass, ma nel frattempo stiamo continuando a testare altri prodotti e sono semplicemente ottimi.

I will avoid praising the gorgeous black and pink vintage packaging, because you'll already know how much I love it. The special thing about this product is that it contains three pieces in one. You have two different shades of concealer and one sealing powder.

Questa volta eviterò di elogiare il fantastico packaging vintage rosa e nero, perchè saprete già quanto mi piace. Quello che è speciale di questo prodotto è il fatto che è un " tre in uno". Infatti contiene due diverse tonalità di correttore e una polvere fissante.

So the pinkier shade is a brightening concealer for the under eye area. It contains an anti-puffyness active ingredient. The second, yellower, shade is more suitable to cover skin imperfections as blemishes.

Dunque la tonalità più rosata è un correttore illuminante per le occhiaie. Contiene un principio attivo contro le famigerate "borse". La seconda tonalità, più tendente al giallo, è indicata per coprire le imperfezioni della pelle come i brufoletti.

The fact that it containes these three pieces, one mirror and une little sponge, makes this item great even to be put in your handbag for your every day exigences. In the upper part of the box you can find the transparent setting powder which fix your concealer, blends it with your skin tone, makes it matt and sets everything together.

Il fatto che la confezione contenga tre prodotti, uno specchio e una spugnetta, rende questo articolo ottimo da portare con sé in borsa per le esigenze di tutti i giorni. Nella parte superiore della scatoletta c'è la polvere trasparente che fissa il correttore, lo uniforma alla tonalità della pelle, lo rende opaco e armonizza tutto l'insieme.

The texture is stunning. It gives very good coverage, but it's not to heavy or thick. It gets blended perfectly with your skin and it's definitely long lasting. At least one complete evening. I got mine in light shade, but there's also available the medium one.

La texture è eccezionale. Garantisce un'ottima copertura, ma non è troppo pesante o densa. E' molto semplice renderla uniforme al proprio colorito e dura davvero parecchio. Almeno un'intera serata. Io ho scelto la tonalità light, ma è anche disponibile quella medium.



It is absolutely not expensive as you have to pay 10,00 £ only for all that stuff. Once again this is sadly not available in Italy. You can find Soap & Glory range in Boots if you are in the UK or in Sephora if you are in the USA. I purchased mine on ebay from a very good seller.

Il prodotto non è costoso, infatti si pagano solo 10,00 £ per tutta questa roba. Di nuovo questo articolo in Italia purtroppo non si trova. Smoulder Kohl - Soap & Glory

Black pencil is a thing that cannot miss in my everyday make up routine. Smoulder khol from Soap & Glory is by far my favorite black pencil. The first time that I tried it, I was so enthusiastic. Its consistency and its duration are perfect. It is creamy but doesn’t  crease, it is very easy to smudge and it lasts all day long (it is waterproof). I usually applied a primer, but now I stopped using it. The color is an intense black, and it is perfect to create a perfect smokey make up.

I tried to use it also on the waterline but unfortunately I think I am allergic to a component. Since I bought it I’m using just this one. In the morning, because I have very short time, I use it as eyeliner. In the evening, when I have to get out, I smudge it on the lid. What can I say? It is perfect. One more thing, the cap is also a sharpener. You can buy it on Ebay at £ 5.00

Per il mio trucco di tutti i giorni non può mancare la matita nera.

Smoulder khol  di Soap & glory è la mia preferita. La prima volta che l’ho provata mi ha entusiasmato sia per la consistenza, sia per la durata. E’ cremosa ma non sbava , facilissima da sfumare e per tutta la giornata rimane inalterata (è waterproof). Generalmente applicavo un primer, ora non lo utilizzo più. Il colore è un nero intenso, perfetto per un trucco smokey. Ho provato anche a utilizzarla all’interno dell’occhio ma sfortunatamente credo di essere allergica a qualche componente.

Da quando l’ho acquistata oramai uso solo più questa matita. La mattina, siccome ho poco tempo, la utilizzo come fosse un eyeliner così non devo sfumarla, la sera invece, mi piace utilizzarla come fosse un ombretto e sfumarla su tutta la palpebra. Che dire, è perfetta. Come se non bastasse il cappuccio è anche un pratico temperamatite. Più di così..

Soap & Glory - Lid Stuff in Smokey Dokey

Just one single word...STUNNING! I do love and love this eyeshadow palette. The packaging is absolutely amazing, the colours are great and the quality is very good.

Una parola soltanto...MOZZAFIATO! Adoro questa palette di ombretti. Il packaging è assolutamente meraviglioso, i colori sono fantastici e la qualità è ottima.

Soap & Glory, which was already one of my ever favourite brand, has now come out with this new gorgeous cosmetics line. The first item I've tried is this Lid Stuff palette in Smokey Dokey and I'm simply in love with it.

Soap & Glory, che era già una delle mie marche preferite, ha da poco lanciato questa meravigliosa linea di cosmetici. Il primo prodotto che ho provato è questa Lid Stuff palette in Smokey Dokey e semplicemente la adoro.

The four colours (Diamondust, Chine, Black Gold and Smokin’) are made of two light shades: a metalic white cream and a sheer metalic lilac and two dark shades: a creamy grey and a dark metalic grey.

I quattro colori (Diamondust, Chine, Black Gold and Smokin’) sono costituiti da due nuances chiare: un bianco crema metallico and un lilla metallico quasi trasparente e due nuances scure: un grigio opaco ed un grigio scuro metallico.

The eyeshadows are not so highly pigmented, thing that is good to me as I don't want a too heavy makeup. They are amazing to be blended and I really like every single colour. They last hours and hours.

Gli ombretti non sono molto pigmentati, cosa che per me va bene, perchè non voglio un trucco troppo pesante. Si sfumano benissimo e mi piace davvero ciascun colore. Durano ore e ore senza rovinarsi.




If I really have to remark something, probably I would have preferred less metalic shades and more creamy ones, as per the nude version. I'm anyway very satisfied with my purchase. If you don't like the Smokey Dokey version, there are two more options which are absolutely beautiful.

Se proprio devo fare un appunto, forse avrei preferito meno tonalità metalliche e più opache, come nella versione nude. Ma sono comunque molto soddisfatta del mio acquisto. Se non vi piace la versione Smokey Dokey, ci sono altre due varianti, altrettanto belle.

Per chi tra voi non conoscesse Soap & Glory, si tratta di un marchio britannico di prodotti beauty dall'accattivante aspetto vintage, specializzato in body care e skin care che ha lanciato un paio di settimane fa una linea di cosmetici veramente meravigliosa che vi consiglio di esplorare qui.

For anyone among you who doesn't know Soap & Glory, it's a British brand of beauty products, with an attractive vintage look, mostly focused in body care and skin care, that has presented a couple of weeks ago a totally new and amazing cosmetic line which I warmly recommend you to explore here.

Tornando alla crema per le mani, posso dire che è la migliore che io abbia provato fino ad ora. La sua consistenza ricca, ma non grassa, con un solo utilizzo al giorno, magari la sera prima di andare a dormire, lascia le mani morbide e incredibilmente idratate, anche nella stagione più fredda. Il profumo è delizioso e completamente diverso da quelli a cui siamo abituate. Insomma un oggetto di culto! Un prodotto ottimo e bello da vedere nella sua confezione rosa, disponibile nel formato grande da 125 ml e "da borsetta" da 50 ml.

Coming back to our hand cream, I can say that it's the best one that I ever tried since today. Its texture is rich, but not greasy, with only one use per day, maybe at night, before going to bed, it leaves your hands skin soft and amazingly mosturized even in the coolest season. The smell is delicious and completely different from the ones we are used to. It is definitely a must have! A very good product and also beautiful to be seen in its pink packaging, available in big size of 125 ml and in "handbag" size of 50 ml.

Ormai avrete anche capito che scriviamo spesso di prodotti difficili da reperire in Italia tramite i normali canali di vendita, ma anche in questo caso con un po' di ricerche online, potete procedere all'acquisto. Noi abbiamo comprato su ebay perchè il sito ufficiale non offre la spedizione internazionale. Per chi si trova in UK la gamma Soap & Glory è sicuramente disponibile presso Boot, mentre negli USA la linea completa è appena sbarcata nei punti vendita Sephora.
