Revlon Colorstay foundation

I read such good reviews about the Revlon that I decided to pick it up and give it a try. I got mine for combination-oily skin in a drugstore at 13 Euro. There was a 35% discount and the actual price should be around 20 Euro. So why not?

The consistency is quite thick but  it dries really fast so you have to be very quick with the application. it is very easy to blend, the feeling on the skin is nice and smooth and yes, it stays all day.  Unfortunately, these are the few pro.

When I applied it the first time I started scratching my skin, and when I rinsed it off I found many little bubbles. Maybe I have a kind of allergy to some of the ingredients. I don’t usually use “Bio” foundation, so probably if you try this you won’t have the same reaction.

Another downside is the packaging. The glass bottles doesn’t have a pump, so the foundation does not come out easily. When you don’t use it, you have to leave it upside down.

I tried it a couple of time, so these are my first impression. Actually, because of this kind of allergy I don’t think I’m using it anymore.

Revlon Colorburst Lip Butter in Strawberry Shortcake

Not a lot of time ago, we posted a review of Revlon's Lip Butter in Candy Apple and, we know, you liked it a lot, so we are back with another shade which is Strawberry Shortcake.
Non molto tempo fa, abbiamo postato una review del Lip Butter Revlon in Candy Apple e sappiamo che vi è piaciuta molto, così siamo tornate con un nuovo colore che è Strawberry Shortcake.

There's not a lot of things to say about the formulation of these lipsticks, because we already talked about that enough, but I just want to underline once again how much they are amazingly moisturizing. They really seem a lip balm, but they give a beautiful hint of colour to your lips.

Non ci sono molte cose da dire a proposito della formulazione di questi rossetti, perchè ne abbiamo già parlato abbastanza, ma volevo comunque sottolineare ancora una volta quanto sono incredibilmente idratanti. Davvero hanno l'effetto di un balsamo labbra, ma donano una bellissima
nota di colore.








I've chosen the Strawberry Shortcake colour because I usually go for pink or nude shades. Actually, as the lip butters have been launched in the USA last November, I had a lot of time to read many and many things about them and decide which were my favourite colours, but when they arrived in Italy the bad surprise was that we have available just half the complete range. Of course Gumdrop and Cupcake haven't come here, yet. Anyhow cold pink tones are definitely what we'll be seeing almost everywhere in the next months, so I'm pretty satisfied with my Strawberry Shortcake purchase.

Inoltre, poichè i lip butter sono stati lanciati negli Stati Uniti lo scorso Novembre, ho avuto molto tempo per leggere tantissime cose su di loro e per decidere quali erano i miei colori preferiti, ma quando sono arrivati in Italia, la brutta sorpresa è stata che la gamma disponibile é esattamente la metà di quella esistente. Ovviamente Gumdrop e Cupcake non sono ancora arrivati. In ogni caso nei prossimi mesi vedremo ovunque tutte le sfumature del rosa freddo, quindi sono abbastanza soddisfatta del mio acquisto di Strawberry Shortcake.

On your lips it's a delicate pale pink with a subtle silver shimmer. It's shiny and bright, but a bit sheer. It doesn't make you look like an "old woman" as you could think because of its shade. It lasts about three hours without fading.

Sulle labbra resta un rosa pallido e delicato con un finissimo shimmer argentato. E' lucido e luminoso, ma leggermente trasparente. In ogni caso non regala un grazioso aspetto da "vecchietta" come si potrebbe pensare per via del tipo di colore. Dura circa tre ore senza sbiadire.



As we already said, they are really cheap in USA as they cost about 7 $ and in the UK where you have to pay about 7 £. In Italy, instead, you have to pay about 16 € that is really too much. You can buy them online only in certain Countries from drugstore.com or Boots for example. In Italy they are quite difficult to be found, you can purchase them from Coin shops or you should have a look in the main perfume shops.

Come abbiamo già detto, sono davvero a buon prezzo negli Stati Uniti dove costano circa 7 $ e nel Regno Unito dove si pagano circa 7 £. In Italia, invece, costano intorno ai 16 € che è veramente troppo. Si possono acquistare online solo in alcuni Paesi da drugstore.com o Boots per esempio. In Italia sono abbastanza difficili da trovare, si possono trovare nei negozi Coin oppure si può provare a dare un'occhiata nelle principali profumerie.

Revlon Colorburst Lip Butter in Apple Candy

Revlon Colorburst Lip Butters hit Italian shops last week.

I heard so much about them on usa beauty blogs that, I could wait to try them. I confirm totally what I read before. The shade I bought is Candy Apple. It is pigmented and super moisturizing. It contains jojoba oil, bee wax, karate butter and mango butter.

The shade is a red with a hint of orange. It really reminds me a juicy apple. While I was in the store I swatched other colors. The brownie shades are not so pigmented on the lips, while the reddish ones are very pigmented.

The duration of the color on the lips is pretty impressive. I usually apply three times a day.

Lip butter has only two downsides: the small range of colors comparing to the USA (I Italy you can find only ten shades, in USA twenty) and the price (in Italy it is about 16 EU, in USa only 7 dollars)

Overall, I am pretty satisfy of this product and I think I’m going to get another one

Finalmente sono arrivati anche in Italia i Revlon Colorburst Lip Butter .

Ne ho sentito parlare così tanto sui blog americani, che non vedevamo l’ora di provarli. Confermo quanto avevo letto in precedenza. Il colore che ho acquistato, Candy Apple, è pigmentato e super idratante. Contiene olio di jojoba, c’era d’api, burro di karitè, olio di cocco, e burro di mango.

Il colore è rosso con una punta di arancione. Effettivamente ricorda quello di una mela succosa. Mentre ero nel negozio ho testato anche altri colori. Quelli che tendono  ai toni del marrone sono poco evidenti sulle labbra, mentre gli altri appartenenti alla gamma dei rossi e rosati sono super pigmentati. Il colore, pur non essendo un rossetto, è abbastanza resistente. In una giornata lo applico circa tre volte.

Le uniche due note negative sono la ridotta gamma di colori (in Italia sono uscite dieci tonalità  mentre in usa il doppio) e il prezzo (in questo caso in Italia è più che raddoppiato. Il costo in profumeria è di circa sedici euro, in Usa è di sette dollari)

In ogni caso, sono più che soddisfatta del prodotto e credo che ne acquisterò a breve un altro. Finalmente riesco ad avere colore e idratazione in un unico prodotto.
